Our landscape suites
The suites are located on the rugged slope of Tahkovuori – with expansive views of the entire area’s most stunning landscapes. Explore all of our scenic suites and amenities. There are four levels of scenic suites: Wolf, Forest Bear, Lake Bear, and Elk. All visits include a served magnificent breakfast and free, unlimited access to the forest spa during its opening hours.
The essence of our landscape suites is built from the most beautiful colors of the horizon at every hour of the day, the modern Nordic design of the interiors, the immersive soundscape by Genelec, and an unparalleled sleep experience.
The Wolf
Without ever making a big deal of itself, the silver wolf is fully focused on everything that might be overlooked inadvertently in haste. Towards the skies our wolf reaches, showing us the finest of its heights. From the most valuable moments, deriving strength from silence and relaxation.
The landscape suite “Wolf” with its huge windows is a unique experience. It is intimate and warm, like a nest in the treetops. A view towards the lake Syväri can be seen from each suite.

The Bear
The king of the forests whose den is the sanctuary of winter. The bear takes us to the land of dreams, where all the pieces fall into their places. The bear dreams of what the forest smells like and how the light plays in the spring, when it wakes up to the summer sun glittering over the lake Syväri.
“The Bear” is at its best when the lights play with nature. Windows in different shapes give form to the landscape and the life in the suite. The suite includes a bedroom and a large living area.

The Moose
The moose's fur is wavy like the sky and warm like a flaming stove. Nobly it stands on a hummock looking at the most beautiful clearing in front of her. Gracefully the moose rises knowing the meaning of its greatness. To find and to be surprised. To experience all moments the landscape builds.
From our suite “The Moose”, you can experience the landscape to its fullest. It offers you huge windows and the softness of wood and the vastest twinkling of the landscape. The Moose stands on the proudest podium in the region. The lingering of spaces beyond the ordinary.

Water has for so long awaited the moment of its liberation from underneath the rocks to allow it to meander freely through its own paths towards the vastness of lakes and seas.
Despite its flux, water offers everyone its time and solace. It knows that it is time to provide softness that has been here and there lost in this world.
The forest spa brings seasons near, for all of our saunas and pools are outside. Wood-burning saunas bring their unique scents and sounds to the top of the mountain. It is time to live.

In every season, our kitchen draws inspiration from the surrounding nature. Our ingredients honor local producers and the rhythm of the seasons, while flavors are crafted by blending tradition with modern techniques. We aim to offer more than just food – we strive to create lasting memories.

The most magical time of the year unfolds at the top of Tahko – within a truly unique hotel filled with beauty. Our winter and Christmas stays offer a one of a kind opportunity to pause and take in the serenity of a true winter paradise.

We’re surrounded by ski slopes and you can start your downhill adventure right from the steps of your Landscape Suite. If skiing isn’t your style, you can enjoy fat biking, snowshoeing, snowmobile safaris, or even a husky adventure during your stay.
